Sajid-Wajid

Sajid–Wajid was a popular Bollywood music composer duo consisting of brothers Sajid Khan and Wajid Khan. Sons of tabla maestro Ustad Sharafat Ali Khan, they brought a strong classical music foundation to their compositions while embracing modern Bollywood sensibilities. The duo debuted in 1998 with Salman Khan’s Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya and quickly rose to prominence with hit films like Hello Brother, Tere Naam, and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. Known for their energetic and catchy songs, Sajid–Wajid became a go-to music team for Salman Khan, composing chartbusters for the Dabangg franchise, Partner, Wanted, and more. Their music was a blend of folk-inspired rhythms, melodious romantic tunes, and high-octane dance tracks. Songs like “Tere Mast Mast Do Nain,” “Munni Badnaam Hui,” “Soni De Nakhre,” and “Fevicol Se” became massive hits, showcasing their versatility and command over both melody and mass appeal. They also contributed to television with theme music for Bigg Boss and composed for non-film albums and IPL anthems. Beyond commercial success, they were respected for their ability to create music that resonated deeply with both urban and rural audiences. Tragically, Wajid Khan passed away in June 2020 due to health complications, marking an emotional end to the duo’s collaboration. Since then, Sajid Khan has continued to carry forward their legacy with solo projects like Radhe and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Sajid–Wajid’s music continues to be celebrated for its vibrancy, emotional depth, and timeless appeal in the world of Hindi cinema.
